REMEMBERING 2020 A YEAR AND TIME OF “SANKOFA” – I was still glowing from the March On Washington and listening to WLIB Reverend Al Sharpton’s recap when I heard the news that our King -Our “Shining Star” was our newest Ancestor. Our King and “Wakanda” Forever Chadwick Boseman became an Ancestor on August 28th the day of the March On Washington -how profound and just surreal as we expected King Chadwick Boesman to live forever from Howard University to starring in New York Theatre with Woodie King Jr. at the New Federal Theatre to most notably and recently “42”, “Get On Up” “Marshal” “Message From The King” “The Avengers”, “21 Bridges”, “Da 5 Bloods” and most memorable and impactful ” Black Panther”. Lest we never forget, lest we always remember our King Chadwick Boseman who lives on in our hearts and minds and will inspire us forever – he did so much in so little time leaving an imprint and stamp on this world. We will always remember Chadwick Boseman’s commencement speech at Howard University first giving honor to God and the Ancestors and acknowledging all the ancestors and instructors on whose shoulders he stands – Chadwick speaks of “Howard” University “the Mecca” where Magic happens- “Chad” encouraged graduates to “savor the tastes of their triumphs and to look down over what they conquered appreciating God for bringing them to this day of Graduation. Chadwick spoke of fighting for those that come after you and that when God has something for you it doesn’t matter who stands against you – King Chadwick Boseman told the Graduates
“This is your time” closing with “Howard Forever”. King Chadwick Boseman is the best of the best – REMEMBER AND “LISTEN FOR THE ANCESTORS BREATH – THOSE THAT HAVE DIED HAVE NEVER NEVER LEFT”, SWEET HONEY AND THE ROCK.
