The majority of the American People Black and White have decided to draw a line in the sand of toxic racism and violence in their nation. The protesters are White and Black demanding justice for a handcuffed American who because of his race was brutally killed by Minneapolis police.
Harlem Network News is a new media platform created to provide information relevant to urban communities. Please find us on the web at Harlemnetworknews.com, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. We are the voice and the drumbeat of Harlem and the Harlems of the World. Knowledge is power and the media is indeed the message. At this time of carnage Black and Brown people are dying. Ironically on Memorial Day George Floyd lost his life to a knee in his neck for 9 minutes by a Minneapolis Police Officer in broad daylight while other officers and bystanders stood by and George Floyd said, “I Can’t Breath” and begged for his Mother. A presumed EMS Person on the scene offered to attend to him the Police refused. Public lynchings of Black folks continue with no consequence. Simultaneously that same day Amy Cooper a white woman threatened to call Police in Central Park, New York and hysterically told Police a Black Man was threatening her life. Christian Cooper, a bird watcher and Black Man had simply, calmly asked Amy Cooper (no relation) to leash her dog which is the law. Fortunately Christian Cooper’s video went viral and this time saved his life. This is the insidious nature of Race in America where white privilege knows they can fictionally call Police on a Black Man. This is an old lynching story. We must take matters into our own hands and fight for the survival and uplifting of our people collectively. Harlem Clergy LAST WEEK SUNDAY SPOKE TRUTH ON THE PLIGHT IN THE HARLEM COMMUNITY.
